Family Academy offers parent qualifying classes through several colleges in Western Washington. In addition to our current class (a traditional, on campus classroom format) we are beginning a new hybrid online/distance learning course.

The new format begins with a three-hour orientation session, held on campus. Following the orientation, participants have four weeks to complete a home-study course that includes: reading in the course workbook, on-line media presentations, on-line forum discussions, and on-line interactive quizzes. The materials teach how to individualize home instruction through, both, educational theory and practical application. At the end of the four weeks, participants reconvene on campus for a final wrap-up session.

This course meets the Washington State requirements for parent qualifying courses.
